With so many different types of aged care and disability care options available to you, it can be difficult to know where to start. At Senior Helpers, we’ve helped connect thousands of families with access to dependable, compatible care. We’re here to help you navigate this journey.

We’ll Explain Your Care Options

From government funded home care packages and disability support, to private in-home care, we’re here to support you in the way that suits you best. We’ll talk you through all of your options, but as an overview, here’s some information to get you started.

Government Subsidised Care

Senior Helpers is an approved service provider of government funded care, and we can help you find the option that’s best suited to your needs. Because government subsidised care can take between 3 months to 12 months to access, we can also assist you with support as you require up until you receive your approval.

There are two main options available for government funded care. You can check if you are eligible on the My Aged Care website.

Home Care Packages Program (HCP)

If you have more complex needs and want to access clinical care services in your own home, the Home Care Packages Program (HCP) is designed to cater for these needs. You may be required to contribute an income-tested care fee (unless you are on a full aged pension). You can apply for funding through My Aged Care or by calling 1800 200 422.

Disability Care

Senior Helpers proudly supports adults with disabilities. Some of our offices are approved by NDIS to support Agency-Managed Participants, and all of our offices can support Plan-Managed and Self-Managed Participants. Contact your local Senior Helpers office to discuss your options and needs.

Private Care

If you are waiting for your government subsidised care services, but need access to care right away, all of our services are available privately. Whether you are looking for one-off assistance, urgent immediate care, or ongoing in-home care, we can work with you to align private care services to your needs and budget.
