Gaining access to a Home Care Package can be challenging, in time, effort and negotiating My Aged Care. Our Consultants can guide clients and their families through the process of applying, planning for the My Aged Care assessment and the wait process for the funding to be available.
Due to the often, prolonged wait times, Senior Helpers can discuss interim supports with clients and families so that the issues that led to seeking support do not escalate. Support can be negotiated within your budget and the daily fee that applies to Home Care Packages.
Senior Helpers Consultants can work with you to develop the most cost-effective care and support plan that will be based on the interests and needs of each individual. No two Package recipients are the same, therefore each care plan and budget are individualised.
Clients or their family have the option to undertake varying levels of Package Management. This gives you more control over the services and supports. Speak to our Case Managers regarding options.
We encourage recipients of Home Care Packages to utilise their available funding in ways that will enrich the life of the individual, whether this is support and care within the home, or accessing community activities and services that are of interest to the recipient. All recipients will receive monthly Statements. However, you can have access daily to your statements through our dedicated Client Portal.
Senior Helpers offers all clients direct access to the office through our dedicated Client Portal. You can look over your schedule to see which staff will be attending each day, read messages from the Office or send messages to the office, for example if you need to cancel or change a service for appointments.
