One in 5 Australians live with a disability yet services and supports from the community and government have not been equal for all Australians until the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. While Senior Helpers can be viewed as provider of non-medical care to older persons, our skills, capacity and organisational values – Improve Quality of Life and Celebrate Life – suggests our approach to services and supports apply equally to persons living daily with their own challenges.
Senior Helpers is committed to providing quality disability services and support for all adults who are in need of a little extra (or greater) assistance to participate in life and the community equal to that of all Australians. While we may not be a specialty disability provider, we offer supports that are guided by or meet the NDIS Practice Standards.
Agency-Managed participants will need support from a Senior Helpers Office that has NDIS Approval. Contact your nearest office to check their NDIS registration status.
Plan-Managed and Self-Managed participants can approach their nearest Senior Helpers’ office for a free in-home consultation to see if we are a good fit for your goals and needs.
