Navigating The New 'Support At Home' Program

Australia’s My Aged Care system is changing, with a stronger focus on providing flexible, personalised support for older people living at home.

Your Senior Helpers Care manager is proud to support you to understand the new system, access your funding, and receive quality care. Depending on your income and the services you need, you may need to contribute to your care costs, except for clinical care which is fully covered by your package.

Am I Eligible?

If you’re aged 65 or over (or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and need help with everyday tasks, you may qualify for government-funded care under Support at Home.

We’re here to walk you through the process—step by step—with no pressure and no confusion.

What We Can Help With

Through the Support at Home program, you may be eligible for:

  • Help with bathing, dressing, and personal care
  • Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, gardening)
  •  Meal preparation and nutrition support
  • Transport to medical appointments or social activities
  • Medication reminders and care coordination
  • Short-term support after illness or hospital discharge
  • Alzheimer, dementia and Parkinson’s care

All services are based on your individual needs and government-approved care plan.

Your care plan can be changed at any time, just chat to your Care Manager.
