At Senior Helpers Sydney Northern Suburbs, our overarching goal is to help our clients enjoy a better quality of life and remain living independently in their own home, for as long as possible. We pride ourselves on integrity without compromise and making sure that each client is at the centre of everything we do.

Our Support Workers are highly trained and skilled in age and disability support, with a specialty in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care under our unique Senior Gems® program. Our committed management team has a wealth of professional and personal experience in the industry, and are passionate about making a positive difference in peoples’ lives.

Senior Helpers Sydney Northern Suburbs's Story

Senior Helpers Sydney Northern Suburbs is family owned and operated by Jo and Shay Martin, who believe that people of all ages and circumstances should have access to excellent care and support in their own homes.

With a personal understanding of the huge impact dementia can have on individuals and families, they are particularly passionate about supporting people with compassionate and appropriate in-home Dementia Care. The Senior Helpers’ Senior Gems Alzheimer’s and Dementia program helps them provide this support.

Shay and Jo chose to open a Senior Helpers office to make a positive difference in people’s lives with their work. Their goal is to help Sydney Northern Suburbs’ locals remain independent and healthy in their own homes, for as long as possible.

Our Team

Our leadership team shares the Senior Helpers vision and is committed to demonstrating the company’s values, setting a new standard for in-home care and customer service.

Jo Martin Director

Jo’s background in physiotherapy means she is able to offer assistance that is backed by experience to sufferers of chronic and other debilitating illnesses. She is driven by her passion to support people through the life they choose, whatever that might be, and seeks to make a real, meaningful change in the lives of her clients and their families.

Shay Martin Director

Shay has a strong operations background, particularly in customer service, training, change management and project management. This experience enables Shay to support the rest of the team to deliver the quality services that their clients deserve, to help them have a better quality of life at home.
